I'm sure I'm not the only one who constantly asks, "What IS Sleep, Anyway?"
Talk about burning the candle at both ends--Working, Momming, Wifing and everything in between.
This journey can get tough at times. Like, really hard.
One thing that I repeat to myself daily is "Muscle Up Mommy, come on You Got This."
(You know...when I'm not dropping F bombs and trying to be positive...haha.)
Muscle Up Mommy IS my mantra, my motto, my go-to pick me up to get me through the day-to-day...and you know what? IT HELPS.
I started giving myself more grace when I realized I was plate stacking and overloading my to-do list with way more than what could be accomplished in a day.
I also realized I needed to hire help in areas that I keep pushing to the back burner.
If it triggers me and causes me to feel ANY type of resistance, It's a NO for me.
Trading in nap time for the dishes and vacuuming? HARD PASS!
Alternatively, trading in my late night quiet hours for 10pm bedtime just to get a full 8 hours of sleep? ALSO, HARD PASS!
So to the tired mama reading this, MUSCLE UP MOMMY!
Your to-do list is fine and everything, but don't forget about YOU.
If you're going to FEEL the woes, then FEEL them and then get immediately back to business.
Don't forget, empires are not built overnight and neither was this version of you.
GIVE YOURSELF GRACE. Rest when you can. And hit it hard when you're feeling like head honcho.
